Treasurer/ Deputy Clerk/ Deputy Administrator

The Village of Cambridge is seeking candidates for a Treasurer/ Deputy Clerk/ Deputy Administrator.  This position will be responsible for assisting the Village Administrator/Clerk/Deputy Treasurer and the duties will focus on, but are not limited to accounting, accounts payable and receivable including journal entries, budgeting audit preparation, election administration support, licensing customer service, website management, agenda and packet management and general staff support.  Preferred candidates will have municipal government experience.  In addition, strong governmental accounting, budget, Treasurer’s Certification, tax incremental financing experience, a degree in accounting or finance and Work Horse Accounting software are plusses. NOTICE TO CONTROL NOXIOUS WEEDS

The growth of noxious weeds in excess of 8 inches in height from the ground surface is prohibited in Village of Cambridge limits. As provided in State Statute 66.0407, notice is hereby given to each person who owns, occupies or controls land in the Village of Cambridge, Dane and Jefferson Counties, Wisconsin, to destroy all noxious weeds on such property before the plants bloom.

“Noxious weeds” include any weed, grass or similar plant growth which, if allowed to pollinate, would cause or produce hay fever in people or would cause a skin rash through contact with the skin. Noxious weeds, as defined in Section 8.04.040 of village ordinances, include but are not limited to Canada thistle, ragweed, leafy spurge, field bindweed (creeping Jenny) and any other weed declared noxious by village or county resolution or ordinance.

The Cambridge Village Board has created a subcommittee to review the proposed Koshkonong Solar Farm (KSF) which would be located in the Town of Christiana and the Town of Deerfield.  The committee is looking for comments/questions/concerns from our residents as they determine their plan of actionPlease use the link below to share any comments/questions/concerns that you may have.  The Committee will also be holding a virtual meeting on February 18th where residents will also be able to express their comments/questions/concerns.  The agenda for the committee will be posted on this website.  The agenda will contain the information to join the meeting remotely.

Village Offices will be open to the public on a limited basis.   With the safety of everyone in mind, we are asking residents to please leave payments in the drop box outside the front doors or mail them to the office rather than bringing them to the office in person.  We are available by phone and email.  Please do not hesitate to contact us with any questions or concerns that you may have.
