Cambridge/Deerfield Police Department

The Village of Cambridge contracts through the Dane County Sheriff's Department for protection of residents and businesses. The police department, which is located in downtown Cambridge, is able to patrol the entire village while maintaining high visibility. Deputies are committed to community policing and having a positive impact with residents and businesses.

Police Reports and Records Requests

Accident reports, incident reports, and other records may be obtained from the Dane County Sheriff's Office Records Section. When making a request, please be as specific as possible by including the case number (if available), names, dates, times, locations.

MedDrop

MedDrop box is a safe and anonymous service located at the Village of Cambridge Police Department. Protect your family, the community and the environment by disposing of unwanted or expired medicine.

ACCEPTABLE MEDICINES:

Prescription pills, liquids and creams
Over-the-counter pills, liquids, and creams
Medications for pets
Vitamins
Nebulizer solution
Medication samples
Inhalers

BEFORE COMING TO MEDDROP:

  1. Empty pills into a ziplock bag and recycle the bottle.
  2. Leave liquids, gels or creams in their original containers and place container in ziplock bag.
  3. Verify that the office is open by calling 608-423-4328.
  4. Put sealed ziplock bags into drop box at the police station and fill out survey.

Vacation Absences

If you are going to be away from your residences for an extended period of time, please submit a Vacation Form to the Village Hall at least 7 business days before departure.
